Steam Engines

Below are a selection of photos of steam engines mostly taken on a visit to, I am now assured, Exmouth Junction shed and not Exeter St. Davids MP depot as I thought, over Easter 1962 (thank you Andrew for this correction), and as part of the procession of engines at the 150th anniversary of railways at Shildon, near Darlington, in 1975. Unfortunately, the official stands were facing the sun so photography was very difficult and the transfer from slides has not helped the quality. In addition, due to a problem with the camera's operation (me), I lost a large proportion of the photos, to my everlasting regret.

If you can supply more biographical information about any of the pictures, please let me know (and thanks to those who have!)
